Sanibel Harbour, Fla. – April 24, 2008 – Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa, a relaxed yet sophisticated resort tucked among 85-acres of exquisite coastal scenery, is now an official member of the Florida Green Lodging Program at the One Palm level given by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).
As a promise to conserve and protect Florida’s natural resources, the property has implemented "green" practices such as water conservation, energy efficiency, recycling programs, waste reduction, eco-friendly products and clean air practices. As part of the clean air practices, all guest rooms and suites are cleaned with all natural green products that are non-toxic and biodegradable yet clean the rooms without hurting the environment.
"Our team of associates are very pleased to earn this level of achievement within the green effort and are already working toward the next level," says, Cory Clark, general manager of Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa. "Our property is a natural fit with the green certification as we are settled within a nature preserve and have maintained the integrity of the area while continuing to offer four-diamond service and experience to our customers."
Presenting more than 380 rooms and suites, the classic Southwest Florida escape presents exhilarating views of its natural surroundings. The seven dining options include everything from casual pool fare to decadent steak restaurant.
