Let’s celebrate National Wildlife Rescue week! In honor of Jay Norwood “Ding” Darling, Pulitzer Prize-winning political cartoonist and original Duck Stamp artist, the Ding Darling National Wildlife Refugee is hosting events all week long. This year marks the 20th Anniversary of this celebration. There are tons of activites for the whole family.
Family Fun day kicked things off over the weekend. A special day has been added this year especially for the 20th anniversary too. Conservation Through Art Day will bring the weeklong “Ding” Days 2009 to a close at the refuge on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Come out and have a great time at this local Sanibel celebration! Check out the web site for a complete list: Schedule of Events.
